Well, I should have asked before I guess.

I am experiencing these problems that:

- [CONFIRM] and other tags do not resolve when mailed out on subscribing
- I can not really create a mailing - screen seems to switch between to Joomla administrator screen, one screen displaying a PANEL icon on the top left. But I can not really create a new mailing.

I have the mambots/yanc installed (had to do this manually)

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Petra

yes I would be interested to know as well. This seems like a perfect newsletter component to work with CB. Everything seems to work except for being able to create an actual newsletter.

Hi Adam,
I installed onto Jommla 1.5 running CB 1.2, the newsletter creation function works a treat and I was able to create a newsletter.
After creating a newsletter I was able to subscribe to it from a user profile but after sending the newsletter it did not arrive.
Also when users subscribe they are not approved automatically, is there a feature for this?

Let me know if you would like any specific operations run?

ok I subscribed with 2 user accounts and neither received confirmation notices.
I manually confirmed one of them in the backend but still no newsletter arrives.
The account that is not confirmed has a (Not Confirmed) message in the user profile backend

can you first check if YaNC has been configured correctly? I've tested those things on my J 1.5 version, and those things work on my servers..

Tried to install the new plugin - error message said that it is possible written for an older version and asks for legacy mode.

I noticed that there is still an entry in the plugin section for the yanc core mambot which remained since my last uninstall. This might cause the problem.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this and I will retry to install again.

yeah.. legacy layer should still be active for this to work..but at least it should work..

if I'm correct, you can simply remove the core mambot by uninstall it..

@ghog
check the global configuration, specifically the section on mail, and make sure it's configured correctly.. try changing it to SMTP if it's not already set to SMTP

ok that was it, changed to smtp and received confirm notice. However after confirming I receive this message:
Choose one of the newsletters below to subscribe or view the archive of. There is a subscribe button and if I click it I receive the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::load() in /home/wwwsear/public_html/components/com_yanc/yanc.html.php on line 73
But other than that it is working and I am receiving newsletters
