Hi
I am using ol_flicer as a template in a Joomla 1.5.14 install. After installing EasyGallery 2 I have these issues:

1. The template's content pane is no longer the right size. The articles are pushed into the right column and under the right col modules. What is causing this?

2. What is the description box good for? Nothing written there ever shows up. How do you configure it?

3. The manual which we are supposed to be able to download is not to be found. The link on this site goes to a "The website cannot display the page."

4. Why is the download and install a BETA?? It doesn't say that on the front page of this site until after you become a club member and find out that it is a Beta.

I hope that these issues can be answered and fixed.

1) Can you post a screenshot or a link to your site?

2) It will show up in some setups, but if you are using the default settings, it will not appear Smiley

3) will ahve a look at this

4) who cares that it's a beta? it's just a version number... gmail has been a beta for years before it was labeled stable.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.
1. The template problem was unrelated.
2. It would be very good to have the description box work. Otherwise we may need to go for another solution. I'd like to be able to use easygallery if possible.
3. Manual would be good.
4. Fine with me.

Another problem:
5. In Litebox when you click on the play button the button itself moves with the filmstrip of photos. This happens of course when you have more photos than can fit in one strip. Acutally it should stay still in the middle and not move. Also the strip shakes when it moves to a photo that is outside of the first batch of photos visible on the strip at first. Please see the actual expample here:
http://www.maryam-rajavi.com/index.php?parent_id=4&option=com_easygallery&Itemid=66

6. In the random image module, how can I control the style? Does it have a css that controls how the images appear? I would like to have the image centered and somehow control if how more than 2 images appear. Currently they appear in a very messy fashion. It would have been good if there was some rudimentary navigation.

7. In the Gallery Overview, when I go into an album, there is no way to return to root of the albums? Is there some way to navigate? Can we have a breadcrumb effect on top of the page?

Look forward to your reply.

I would appreciate if anyone can help.
Does anyone else have this problem with litebox? It keeps jumping when more photos in there than the strip can accomodate. This is really  annoying.

2) well.. visually, you can pretty much do anything you like. Simply copy the view files in /components/com_easygallery/view/ to /templates/mytemplate/html/com_easygallery/view and modify the way Easy Gallery outputs it now.

5) Ah, i recognise that behaviour a bit.. can you verify there are no updates availble using the "Check for updates" feature? I believe this should have been fixed already.

6) the module follows the Joomla styling by default. you can additionally use the following extra css styles:
a.eg { /* styling for the link go here */ }
img.eg { /* styling for the image go here */ }

7) Easy Gallery uses the Joomla breadcrumb system.. if you have that published on your site, you will be able to see the navigation path: http://demo.joomla-addons.org/index.php?parent_id=3&option=com_easygallery&Itemid=2

5) latest updates were added but same beahviour. Quircky movement of the strip when images are more than the strip size. Makes it look like the strip is jumping and the play/stop control moves with the strip. Can this be fixed?

For navigation can you please view the below: Can easygallery be done like this?

This is not suitable for a production site.
Sorry I wasted my time.
